Attending The Screening Of ‘Mediocre Men’ Music Video At Sunderland Short Film Festival
I had to remind myself today that it has only been three and a half months since we shot the music video Mediocre Men, and just the other night I attended the screening at Sunderland Short Film Festival.
As the last note chimed and the audience applauded, the room went quiet for a few moments before the next film, and I silently burst into tears. Luckily, it was too dark for anyone to notice, and I pulled it together, but it showed me just how much this music and this project have meant to me.
Giving voice to an emotion that I realised others understood and felt too. Not the accolade itself, but the laughs at Charlotte sitting in a plastic goat head, the little nods of understanding afterwards. People got it. I was never alone after all.
